Wine and Fine Dining
Please join us Saturday, April 21, 2012 for the 10th anniversary of our Wine and Fine Dining event!
We are delighted to announce our honorary chairs for this year's event will be Tom Clark and Laurie Claudon of Clark-Claudon Vineyards in the Napa valley. In addition to producing world-renowned wines, Tom and Laurie are loyal supporters of Camphill Soltane, having first served as our honorary chairs for this event in 2007.
The Clark-Claudon Vineyard is situated on the northeast side of Howell Mountain. Only a small piece of the property is planted in vines, with the remaining acreage preserved to protect the watershed and wildlife habitat. Clark-Claudon produces a renowned Estate Cabernet, along with other small lots of hand-crafted wines. The vineyard is entirely family owned and operated by 2 generations of the family - with another generation on the way! A special program, Cabernet for Care, highlights Tom and Laurie's commitment to charitable giving alongside fantastic wine production.
Our auctioneer, David Reynolds, is a long-time veteran of Camphill Soltane's Wine and Fine Dining event. His firm, Reynolds & Buckley, has raised over 100 million dollars for charity and serves 100 organizations nationwide annually. While on stage, his boundless energy and witty style keeps the bidding lively from start to finish, and his thorough knowledge of fundraising auctions ensures success.
This year's Wine and Fine Dining 10th anniversary gala event will feature surprises and festivities throughout the evening! Staged in the beautiful Camelot Room of Whitsun Hall at Camphill Soltane, the evening begins with a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, featuring a succulent oyster bar. A gourmet dinner, catered by Barbara and Charlie Orlando of The Yellow Springs Inn, follows. The fast-paced live auction offers superb wines, travel adventures and other unique items. The silent auction, open throughout the event, features beautiful hand-crafted items, delicious wines, gift certificates and more.
Proceeds from this event directly support vital programming at Camphill Soltane, including our 5-year Learning for Life program, which provides the best elements of a college experience to young adults with developmental disabilities, and our Soltane Works program, which provides meaningful work opportunities in sustainable, organic gardening operations, textile design, and baking and food production, among others.
Your support will help make this event a success! Tickets, sponsorships and program book advertisements are all available. Auction items are currently being sought.
